Update on the Deans' household

Man what a busy couple of weeks!! I love that the kids are back in school so we can be on a more set schedule but it takes us all a little while to get adjusted.

Becky is adjusting to 5th grade. She has to change classes between four teachers this year. She has 30 math problems each nite, and a test each Friday. This is the first year she (and we) will experience six weeks test. She started ZZ Skippers this week (on Mondays and Wednesdays) and will start ZIP (basketball drills one hour a week) on Thursday the 17th. Volleyball should start up soon and she is still doing cheer and dance. She is doing great with her grades so far and knows what needs to be done each nite.

Cooper is enjoying 2nd grade and he likes his teacher, Mrs. Raburn. He does his math homework and 15 minutes of reading each afternoon. Football is going great!!! When we go to JV and games, he is able to pick out which player is playing in the position that he plays. So that has really helped him to learn even more. He starts jumprope Tuesday the 8th. It is only one day a week.

Ryan is of course excited about kindergarten and he likes his teacher, Mrs. Tidwell. He just got his reading log so we will be ready to him 10 minutes each evening. Until they send home his readers for him to read. He really does not have much homework but we go over his phonic pages and any other pages they do that day. We had to sign him up to play fall baseball in Clebunre (GV's did not make). Games will start September 28th (they still have signups through next weekend).

I do have to brag on our children -- since the first day of school Becky and Ryan have been on green each day!!! Cooper was on green too except for one day when he was playing with scissors during math and on Friday because he did not have his homework and his reading log was not signed. His homework did make it to school however because Ryan had it --oops Daddy put it in the wrong folder!!! Not too bad for the first two weeks!!!!!

Everything is going well as you can see. Hope to have posts about football after the weekend.
