What an honor!!!!

Although Cooper's tball team did not advance to the District tournament, he was selected by the Hillsboro team to play with them during the tournament. We were so proud!!!

The tournament was held July 12 thru 17th.

Cooper's team won their six oclock game on Monday against Italy in less than an hour (games are 1 hour and thirty minutes long). Runned ruled at 25 -3. Good thing because they were scheduled to play Whitney at 8pm. Which they won 24-19. The reason they had to play to games on Monday was because there were 12 teams in this tournament (double elimination).

Cooper was playing left field (not his usual first base position) but he did great. They liked him in that position because of his arm. He was having a hard time with his hitting. He hit the ball just not getting the distance he did during the season. He was trying to adjust being with another team.

They next played Itasca on Tuesday nite. Itasca won our division. We lost this game which put us in the losers bracket.

The boys had to play on Wednesday nite against another Hillsboro. Which we won by two.

Cooper's hitting was back on track that nite. As he hit a home run that nite. After he ran into the dugout, he told his daddy "I needed that!!!!"

As we were still alive, we played Maypearl on Thursday nite. We lost by 11 runs.

Although we were out of the tournament. The boys did a great job!!!!

5 games in 4 days during 100 degree weather!!!!!

For their effort the boys ended up 4th out of 12 teams!!!!!

Cooper enjoyed this opportunity. He learned so much in the three weeks that he practiced and played with this team.

(FYI: He played all the games but our pictures were not good through the fence. It is so much better being able to have someone on the field during the season. This tournament would not let us.)
